Ronald "Ron" Long

     Ronald “Ron” Long is currently a Criminal Justice Professor in San Antonio, Texas. Several years ago, Ron retired as an elected County Sheriff whose career spanned almost 40 years in the law enforcement and corporate fraud vocations. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri, along with a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M International University. 

    Ron spent much of his professional tenure investigating illegal drug, organized crime and financial criminal cases. He is also an author, whose literary works are comprised of books, magazine and newspaper articles relating to criminal justice topics. Throughout his career, Ron worked with State and Federal legislators regarding America’s drug addiction problems and has received numerous appointments to government and corporate boards, and committees.

Ron’s personal ventures include spending time with his family and two Shih Tzu dogs, along with partaking in outdoor adventures, traveling and bicycling, along with seeking out new life adventures.
